# How to turn the Aha light off at night while both running a program and charging device

How do I turn the Aha light off at night while both running a program and charging device overnight?

If you would like to turn off the light during nighttime use while your Aha Halo is running a program and charging, you can **press and hold the upper button** on the device to turn off the light.

I have 2 Aha’s - I purchased the first one in March 2025 when they were first released. The second one I purchased May 2026. When I tried what you said on the newer 2026 one, the main round screen and also the “aha halo” light both turn off. But on the one purchased in March 2025, the main screen turns off, but the “aha halo” light continues to slowly pulse dimmer/brighter.
