# My new Aha Halo cannot turn off breathing light by long press the ^ button

I received my new Aha Halo device several days ago. I followed the instructions from the User’s Guide and found I cannot turn off the breathing light by long press the ^ button. I tried many times and could not turn off the breathing light by long pressing the ^ button, or any other button.

Hi Jane,

1. Press any button first to turn on the screen if it’s off.
2. Press the |\> button on the right to unlock the screen.
3. Long press the ^ button on top to turn off the breathing light.

Thank you so much. I just followed your instructions and it works. The breathing light can be turn off and on by the steps you suggested.
