Halo stuck in "load program"

My Halo device is stuck with “load program” in the display. I have been unable to clear it. Is this a case for using the factory reset?

There is not risk to try that.

Absolutely use the reset button. It will be used from time-to-time.

I was able to resolve the situation and thought I would share if anyone else has a similar issue. The communication from “Load” on my pc somehow was interrupted causing my Halo to be stuck showing “load program” on its screen. All that I was able to do was turn it on and off. Even after using the factory default, it continued to be stuck. As a last resort, I decided to click on “Install Quick Pack” instead of “Load”. Voila! It cleared the blockage and my Halo is, once again, operational.

Sounds like you ran into a software issue rather than a device bug. In these cases, if possible, it would be awesome if you could send the log file that carries the starting date time of the failed session in its name to the halo team together with a short explanation of the situation. There is the Feedback menu entry that allows you to do so from inside the app.

Currently, if such a situation should occur, it is safe to force quit the application when it is definitely stuck and restart it.

As you suggested, I posted the log file of when my software glitched loading programs, along with notes on what I actually did. Let me know if you want the log file from when I installed the Quick Pack which resolved the problem of being stuck in the “Load” install.
