You can also try a different USB port or a different USB cable, as connection issues can sometimes prevent the software from detecting the Halo.
If that still doesn’t help, the best next step would be to record a short video showing the issue and send it to support@ahaharmony.com. Our support team can then work with you one-on-one to help resolve it.

Before I move to a different port, I had a momentary breakthrough. I loaded the program the other day and got a message saying I was missing 2 items in the software, and would I like them? So I loaded those items and suddenly the Halo was recognized. I verified that I was on the correct version of software and could still see the Halo. So I started the hardware update.. Part way through the hardware update the program quit running and the software quit running the hardware update program’ Joyce Allen
I tried a different USB port and it worked. It also shows that i have 28 of 50 programs. Should I run the hardware program again? Should I run the software update? Just do nothing for a day and see if it holds?

I had 30 programs before theupgrades.
If you haven’t already done so, please make sure you complete the software update first, and then proceed with the firmware update.
I appeared to have it yesterday. It saw my halo, and I could add a program. But when I opened the program this morning , it could not see the Halo and had an image Exception RuntimeException-1000

Please try restarting the Aha software first.
