Windows Aha Halo Software still glitchy and can't fix? Here's an older installer that works (version 215)

You can do this if everything else has failed.

Procedure: Download the zip folder with the installer from my Google Drive. Unzip. Uninstall Aha Halo from your Windows PC. Delete the aha halo folders in your Program Files and Program Files (x86) on your C drive. Use the version 215 installer to install the program. When you open the aha halo program, it will ask you if you want to do updates. If one of the updates glitched previously, don’t do that update until the new fixes are done. Your feedback and comments are appreciated. From what other forum members are telling me, you should be able to update to version 228.

It seems build 228 is working fine, beyond that, nope. Multiple versions tested - Intel processor. @Mike7777 @ahaharmonyofficial

For me the 1.1.1.228 works for me. Has support been any help or have you been on your own?

Support is usually quite helpful, but in this instance they’ll have to catch up to you and me first. Do you have the 228 installer so we can post a download link for it here?

Actually I don’t have the install file. I installed an older version and then upgraded to that version

All good, when people read the forum post they can install 215 and update to 228.

I tried the latest update (1.2.1.237), still not fixed. I have sent the developers the logs from 228 (that worked), 229 (first release that didn’t work) and 237 (which still doesn’t work). I have used the software on 2 different computers, same problem. One of the computers is W10 and the other W11. I have uninstalled and deleted everything and reinstalled from scratch, new releases still don’t work.

Same here. I installed the …237 and still it does not read the device. Also there are little pop-ups coming up on the screen for a fractions of a second.
I installed the …215 again.

I just downloaded the new updated (237) and I am so happy that my aha halo is now is alphabetical order. I have a MacBook Pro M2 Chip macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 (latest version) and have no issues at all. Thank you Aha Halo Team.

Does it still work OK if you update to version 228?

I just installed 238, problem still not fixed

Tech support and some members suggest that we should do this or that, check the USB cable, check the drivers, do a reset, blah, dlah… If something was wrong with the USB cable or the drivers, then why with version …215 all those work fine but not with the newest version? It is obvious there is something wrong with the software not with hardware!
The simplest solution is this: Download and keep a copy of the .215 version. When an upgrade comes up and does not work, don’t waste your time with anything else, just uninstall it and install the .215 again.

Yup, Glitch City. :grimacing: From what I understand, you can update to version 228, but not beyond that.

Unfortunately the new releases had all kinds of features and new programs which we cannot partake in because the new releases don’t work for us.

Hopefully they will get it fixed soon.

There is a fix. You need to update the firmware on the device. Instructions and downloads here. https://www.ahaharmony.com/firmware-upgrade/ You MUST have .NET 3.5 installed which is NOT the default in W10 and W11.
