Halo device not working

Hi.

There are reports of select Aha software installer versions not detecting Aha Halo device.

Halo will not connect

Same here. First it says there is a new version, click on install but does nothing. I downloaded the new version from the site (what a mistake). The new installation is useless. It doesn’t even read the device. Problem is I don’t have a copy of the older version.

New version (230), Halo not connected

Newest version (230 I think), does “see” the device but does not load device’s database. It says “searching…”, “halo not connected”. When the program starts, it notifies that there is a new version and if I choose to skip version and stay with version 228 which “sees” the device’s database, and If later I check for updates it says “You have the latest update!”.

Beside the above, someone has shared in the forum a procedure for proper/clean installation of Aha Halo software:

1. Uninstall old version of Aha Halo software.
2. Restart computer.
3. Delete the remaining directory/folder in which the Aha Halo software was previously installed.
4. Download the latest software installer manually from Aha Halo website:
   Software Download - Aha Harmony
5. Install the Aha Halo software using the downloaded installer.
6. Restart the computer.

For connectivity to work:

1. Turn Halo off.
2. Connect Halo to the computer using the cable supplied with Halo.
3. Ensure that USB-C (small connector) end of the cable is plugged directly into the Halo.
4. Ensure that the USB-A (large connector) end of the cable is plugged into the computer. Use the USB-A-to-USB-C adapter enclosed with the cable if computer does not have an available USB-A port.
5. Start Aha software.
6. Turn Aha Halo on.
