Halo will not connect

Halo is charged and plugged in to computer. I start software and halo will not connect.

Hi Robert, did you try just shutting down the software entirely and reopening? I’ve had a few buggy moments, but that’s always the first thing I try. I’ve also seen some other similar posts here in case you want to use the search function.

I have closed and re-opened, re-installed, restarted PC, etc. No improvement. I uninstalled Aha and reinstalled using an old installer (64bit106.exe) and it worked perfectly. The current software version is glitched.

Same here. First it says there is a new version, click on install but does nothing. I downloaded the new version from the site (what a mistake). The new installation is useless. It doesn’t even read the device. Problem is I don’t have a copy of the older version.

I did a new post to help with the problem, software download is there. Widows Aha Halo Software still glitchy and can't fix? Here's an older installer that works (version 215)

Here’s a blog post that outlines common causes and solutions for device recognition issues. Could you please take a look when you have a moment? And let me if it can fix your problem?

Let me know if you need any further assistance!

I’ve been building computers and troubleshooting computer software since 1995. I did business network I.T. troubleshooting for years. I did all of the troubleshooting recommended on the Aha website, and even more. Using the older installer worked. As an experienced computer technician, I try to offer people a straightforward solution that the average PC user can do successfully. I don’t expect people to become IT troubleshooters. When all else fails, go back and reset, then move forward.

Of course, another fix would be to do a System Restore, to a time before the glitch. That’s a good solution provided it doesn’t reset something else that you don’t want to reset. Simply re-installing with an earlier version avoids those potential complications.

My Halo will not connect depending on the release installed. I did everything suggested in the documentation. No help. Here are the releases I tested

  • 1.0.2 works
  • 1.0.1.215 works
  • 1.0.2.221 works
  • 1.1.1.228 works
  • 1.1.2.229 fails to see Halo
  • 1.1.3.230 fails to see Halo
  • 1.2.0.236 fails to see Halo
I tried on my Windows 10 laptop and my Windows 11 desktop. Same results. Both are Intel processors.

Outstanding! This information will be helpful to everyone. I’m sure support will appreciate the info concerning the Intel processor. My PC is also Intel. Do you have the installer for 228 so we can share it here and forum members can download it? I provided 215 for downloads but 228 would be even better. @Mike7777 @ahaharmonyofficial

I just installed 238, still not fixed
