Firmware update (buggy software's problem...again)

i did searching posts here. none of their methods seems effective.

i did also send an email to support@ahaharmony.com . hope they may reply and help to fix it.

my main concern is, this buggy software never “upset” me, it always bugged and never been fixed.

this time is the 4th time I’ve been re-downloading the .exe because in .exe updating always lead to failure.

last time was Feb. I accumulated 6 months of update. including all the JW Peptide that I’m trying to put into my device.

but…this time, this software not even could detect my device. but my device could. and it became “firmware download” mode. no longer available to use.

although i did complaint on my email. but here, i still hoping the dev team may spare us, the users, for making the software or re-making a new one, in order to prevent similar issues happening in the future.

anyway, anyone here on the forum know how to fix this up?

i had tried press and hold up&down button and plug back the cable. still cannot be detected. so much thanks if anyone may lend a hand.

We’re very sorry for the frustration this has caused, especially after you’ve already had to reinstall the software several times.

From what you described, it sounds like the firmware update was interrupted and your Halo has entered Firmware Update mode without completing the process. In this state, the firmware update needs to be completed through the Aha software before the device can return to normal use.

Even if the software shows a “connection lost” message, you can still try clicking the Firmware Update button and allow the update process to complete. Please keep the Halo connected during the process and avoid unplugging it until the update finishes.

You can also follow this video guide step by step:

We’ve also received your email and will follow up with our support team to prioritize your case and help get your Halo working again as soon as possible. We also appreciate your feedback about the software experience and will pass it along to our development team.

thank you. my problem has been solved now.

I have the same issue. It states “Firmware update” but has said the same for over an hour. I tried the steps above (unplugging cable, holding down top and left buttons) but it shows the same message.

If the firmware update was interrupted, the software may show that the Halo is disconnected. That’s okay — please keep the Halo connected and click the “Firmware Update” button several times to try the recovery again.

You can also follow the recovery tutorial shared in the post above.

Hello - I still could not make it work after following these steps. All I see on the Aha Halo screen is Firmware update. I have tried holding the left and up buttons, and plugging it in, multiple times, and there has been no change. See attached the log files.

Thank you

Debbie

The main point of the instruction video linked above (starting at min 01:00) might easily get missed:
If your halo is stuck in upgrade mode, start the application and select “Check for new firmware” from the menu. If halo could not be automatically connected, you are prompted here to select the serial port halo is connected to. Do so, click on Continue and the app will download and install the newest available firmware.

If your Aha Halo screen is showing “Firmware Update,” there is no need to repeat the left and up button steps.

Please keep the Halo connected to your computer, then follow the video instructions and click the “Firmware Update” button in the software menu. You may need to confirm the update a few times before the recovery process starts.
